Our Department’s Participation in the Tree Planting Event

At the tree planting event organized at Güneykent Kindergarten, children planted saplings together in the schoolyard, contributing to the reinforcement of love for nature and environmental awareness from an early age. The event, held under the theme “Green Homeland”, was honored by the participation of Elazığ Governor Numan HATİPOĞLU and Provincial Director of National Education Beraat ŞAHİN, who also planted saplings alongside the children.

Representing our department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Filiz ELMALI, Head of the Early Childhood Education Division, and Research Assistant Muhammed Emre BOZ attended the program. During the event, children performed short plays themed “love of forest and trees”, while guidance was provided throughout the sapling planting and watering stages.

With the support of our department’s students in the preparation process, this event stood out as a remarkable example of school–university collaboration. The active participation and high motivation of the children drew significant attention.

We extend our sincere thanks to all our teachers, students, and little nature volunteers who contributed to this meaningful event.
