FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEVEL DETERMINATION EXAM PRINCIPLES
Foreign Language Placement Exam for Erasmus + Student Mobility will be held on Friday, 26.03.2021, at 15:00 at our university's distance education portal, ue.firat.edu.tr. Candidates who will take the exam will be placed in a related branch on the distance mentioned training portal and will participate in the exam activity added to that branch. Information about the exam and the points to be considered are as follows:
- The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and the duration of the exam is 60 minutes. You can access the sample Placement Exam at the following link:
- Identification procedures before the exam will be done through camera surveillance. There will be an online session link in the description of the exam activity at our exam branches. Candidates who will participate in the exam will attend the live meeting in a separate window by clicking this link. This live meeting window will remain open during the exam.
- The live meeting connection will be active 1 hour before the exam, as of 14:00, since the live meeting session will be taken through the camera and microphone in each exam branch before the exam. Attendance will continue until 14:50. Students who do not participate in the online session during this period and cannot be identified cannot participate in the exam activity.
- Within the scope of the Basic Principles of the Exams that can be Conducted in Digital Environment in Universities announced by the Higher Education Council on 27.05.2020, in order to ensure "the use of alternative online access ways for students", "students, the university units in their location, and if necessary, the computer and internet opportunities of access to "facilities are provided. In this context, students who have problems in accessing a computer, camera, microphone or internet connection can take the exam by using the computer laboratories of our university if they are in our city, or by using the access facilities provided by the universities in their province or institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. In order not to have any problems in this regard, we recommend that you contact the institution in your province one day before the exam and make an appointment by discussing the availability for the exam day and time.
- During the exam session, camera and microphone-connected exam supervision will continue and disciplinary actions will be initiated in accordance with the relevant regulations by keeping a report about the students whose suspicious situations are detected during the exam.
- Students who get at least 60 points from the written exam are eligible to take the Oral Interview exam. The dates and announcements of the Oral Interview exam will be made on our website after the written exam results are evaluated. It is our students' responsibility to follow the announcements made by our college.
- The general success score of students who apply for learning mobility will be calculated over 100 by taking 75% of the Written Exam session and 25% of the Oral Interview exam result.
- Students applying for Internship Mobility will not be taken to the Oral Interview Exam. The overall success score of these students will be determined by taking 100% of the Written Exam session.
- Students with a general achievement score between 40 and 59 points will be A2, students with a score between 60-79 B1, and students with a general achievement score of 80 and above will be entitled to receive a B2 language certificate.
- If you leave or drop the exam for any reason, you can re-enter the exam. The exam will continue where you left off. However, do not forget that your time will continue to run.
